The Nikon D780 is a professional full frame DSLR and the successor to the popular D750. Powering the D780 DSLR is a back-illuminated 24.5 MP full-frame CMOS sensor, EXPEED 6 image processor, and an intelligent 51-point (optical viewfinder) or 273-point on-sensor Hybrid autofocus system.

The large 24.5 megapixel full frame sensor provides the Nikon D780 to shoot rich and vibrant photos with excelent dynamic range and low noise. The sensor also provides an extended light sensitivity of ISO 50-204800 (Standard ISO 100-51200) for shooting in extremes of both very bright or very dark conditions.

The D780 is not just a stills camera but also a full feature video SLR camera. Thanks to its large 35mm full frame sensor and intelligent image processor images are detail rich in both highlights and shadows, and colours are vibrant and full of life. 51-point optical or 273-point live view autofocus system

During use of the optical viewfinder the Nikon D780 features up to 51 autofocus points of which 15 are cross-type points while incorporating phase-detection technology. During live view the camera features a massive total of 273 points, or 231 during video recording. Live view and video use a combination of phase and contrast-detection.  

4K UHD video powerhouse

Not just a pretty stills camera, the Nikon D780 features all the necessities for quality video recording. The camera can record full frame 4K/UHD video/movies at 30p/25p/24p with zero crop factor. Want to record slow motion video, the DSLR camera provides internal Full HD 1080p video recording with sound at up to 120p. Other amazing video features include the ability to record 10-bit video in N-Log, record Hybrid Log Gamma (HLG) HDR footage, support for Atomos open protocol, and the ability to record timecode in drop-frame or non-drop-frame formats and output via 10-bit HDMI. A 3.5mm microphone jack as well as a 3.5mm headphone jack provides the ability to use external sound recording and monitoring accessories.
