UHD 4K Video Recording @ 120 fps

Something that all filmmakers seek is high-quality video recording, and the Sony a7S III certainly ticks those boxes. The camera allows you to record 4:2:2: 10-bit colour in all resolutions and frame rates - meaning smoother colour gradients and it also allows you to push its colour grade much more. It also incorporates a variety of file formats to record in and also features a new file format, which is the XAVC HS 4K format which is an HEVC/H.265 codec that provides you with a lower bit-rate with the same quality.

16-bit RAW Recording via HDMI. Up to 60p

Record 16-Bit RAW Externally up to 60p by using the full size HDMI port - enables the Sony a7S III Mirrorless Camera to deliver deliver the 16-bit signal - meaning even better control of noise, colour balance, and tonal gradation to maximise the benefit of the image sensor's wide dynamic range and low light capabilities.

Advanced & Fast Hybrid Autofocus System

The Sony α7S III mirrorless camera features 759 phase detect AF points and 425 contrast AF points for really quick and precise autofocusing - offering a 92% coverage. These phase-detect points are able to quickly measure the distance to a subject to drive the lens focus element to the proper position, without the excessive hunting displayed by contrast detect-only AF systems. Sony has completely enhanced its Autofocus where it now includes a Touch to Focus system which is also capable in Slow Motion; and Real Eye Time AF that's available for both human and animal, being improved with a greater distance than before all thanks to advanced algorithms.

5-Axis SteadyShot INSIDE Image Stabilisation with up to 5-Stops

Packed into the Sony A7S III is a 5-axis In-Body image stabilization system. This system allows users to confidently use any lens, even adapted lenses, with compensation for pitch, yaw, roll, horizontal, and vertical shifts to shoot at up to 5 stops of shutter speed slower. This will enable users to shoot sharp pictures/video in low light and other less than ideal conditions.

Large 3.0" 1.44m-dot Vari-Angle Articulating Touchscreen

Incorporated on the rear of the camera is a large 3.0" 1.44m-dot Vari-Angle Articulating Touchscreen, being the first of the a7-series of cameras. The flip-out screen is ideal for both high and low angles and also features a front-facing position which is perfect for vlogging. Being fully touchscreen, allowing a full touch menu navigation.
