The Nikon AF-P 70-300mm f/4.5-5.6E ED VR lens provides a versatile, full-frame optically stabilised 70-300mm focal length to cover most telephoto subjects. Possible subjects include portraiture, weddings, sports, wildlife, and events.  

4.5-stop optical vibration reduction and Sport VR mode

The Nikon AF-P 70-300mm E ED VR lens features a powerful 4.5-stop optical vibration reduction (image stabilisation) system. This lens technology enables you to shoot at up to 24 times slower shutter speeds than a non-VR lens. This greatly aids when shooting in less than ideal lighting or panning, where you need to stop down on shutter speeds. This lens also boasts Sport VR to provide a more stable viewfinder image, which is helpful when shooting exceptionally fast action, or when panning.  

Smooth, near-silent, fast autofocus

The Nikon AF-P 70-300mm ED VR FX utilises Nikon's latest pulse motor to provide extremely fast and near silent focus. The motor brings subjects into focus almost instantly with great precision. When recording video, the lens smoothly shift focus from subject to subject with practically no drive noise.  

Rounded 9-blade aperture diaphragm

A rounded 9-blade aperture diaphragm in the 70-300mm AF-P FX lens provides beautiful, smooth bokeh on out of focus areas; making your subject stand out  

ED (Extra-Low Dispersion) Glass

The ED (Extra-low Dispersion) glass element effectively compensates chromatic aberration while enhancing sharpness and contrast, delivering excellent optical performance even at the maximum aperture throughout the entire zoom range.  

Electromagnetic diaphragm mechanism

An electromagnetic diaphragm mechanism is incorporated into the lens to enable stable and reliable auto-exposure (AE) with high-speed continuous shooting.  

Super Integrated Coating

Nikon's Super Integrated Coating cuts down reflections to reduce the appearance of flare and ghosting in your images.  

Compact and lightweight

The Nikon AF-P 70-300mm f/4.5-5.6E ED FX VR lens weighs just 680g, and is comfortable and balanced, even on Nikon's most compact DSLR cameras. Additionally the lens features internal focusing (IF) to keep the lens short, and to make using gradient filters like polarisers effortless due to a static non-moving front element.  

Dust- and moisture weather resistant construction and lens hood

The lens is sealed to protect against dust and water droplets letting you shoot in less than ideal rainy and windy weather environments. An included HB-82 bayonet lens hood protects the front element from side light and light bumbs and knocks.  

Large comfortable zoom ring and smooth focus ring

The Nikkor AF-P 70-300mm FX's large, comfortable zoom ring provides optimal torque for smooth, even zooming across the entire range. A smooth focus ring, and focus motor with manual override, lets you seamlessly make focus adjustments when needed.  

Minimum focus distance of 1.2m

The lens features a minimum focus distance of 1.2m and maximum magnification ratio of 0.25x, making it suitable for macro-style photography. The nifty VR system also helps to keep fine details sharp.
